The road is set to give residents an easy and stress-free time navigating between Waiyaki Way in Westlands, Gigiri and Ruaka once complete. The current roads works includes separated junctions in Kyuna Road, Spring Valley Road, Kitisuru Road, Peponi Road and Lower Kabete Road. Other works include underpasses, footpaths and cycle tracks on each side of the road (NMT). Street lighting too has been incorporated for easy navigation, proper visibility and safety at night.
This stretch will save motorists the agony of passing through Westlands and Parklands area just to get to Red hill from Waiyaki Way and vice versa.
The contractor, China Wu Yi and the consultant APEC Consortium who are undertaking supervisory and consultancy services are committed to complete the project in good time. This road will join the list of other numerous projects being implemented around the city to help improve the flow of traffic and integrated network.
