ASSIGNMENT TITLE:
Individual Consulting Services for assessing the present condition of the Club House at KEFINCO, Preparation of Bid Documents and Supervision of the Rehabilitation Works.
Background
The Lake Victoria North Water Services Board (LVNWSB) is one of the eight Regional Water Services Boards that were created after enactment of the Water Act 2002. The Board was established through Gazette Notice No. 1717 of 12th March 2004 under the State Corporations Act Cap 446 of the Laws of Kenya.The board owns a club house at KEFINCO residential quarters in Kakamega, consisting of the main canteen, a swimming pool and the main club house among other facilities. The facility is currently in a dilapidated state and the Board intends to rehabilitate and operationalize the facility.
Specific Assignment for the Individual Consultant
Ascertain the status of landownership/title of the facility.
Asses the Condition of the Facility
Prepare a status and a rehabilitation needs assessment report
Prepare bid documents for rehabilitation of the facility.
Assist the Client in procuring a contractor for the works
Supervise the construction/rehabilitation of the facility.
Prepare as- built drawings and~a works completion report.
Monitor the performance of the facility during the defects liability period.
The LVNWSB now invites eligible individual consultants (“Individual Consultant”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Individual Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services and Financial proposal.The short listing criteria are:
Key Qualifications
The Consultant Must have at least a bachelors degree in either Civil Engineering, Building Economics, Architecture or Building Construction and Registered with the relevant professional body and must have successfully handled at least 3 similar projects in the last 10 years.
The Consultant must have at least 10 years experience in Tender document preparation for building works.
The Consultant must also have at least 10 years experience in Construction supervision of similar projects.
