Engineering, training and capacity building is the theme of the next issue of Kenya Engineer. This continues to be a controversial topic within and outside the engineering fraternity with different pundits giving different opinions on it. There have been robust efforts abroad to adapt their learning systems to the changing times. In Kenya however engineering education has largely been static. In the July-August Issue of the Kenya Engineer Magazine, we will explore this vast topic and the opinions it inspires.

Kenya Engineer magazine which is the definitive publication of engineers in East Africa and beyond invites well researched, technical articles. These should be between 800 to 1500 words. Accompanying the article should be the writers bio and photographs of high quality at least 300 DPI.

Kenya Engineer is published once every two months (bi-monthly). The Journal carries a variety of engineering oriented articles; news, Features, leading projects, interesting profiles of leading engineers and contractors, referred professional papers, meetings as well as news on engineering and construction equipment gathered from across the East Africa region.

We especially invite engineers, tutors and stakeholders from the industry who want to see changes in engineering education in Kenya to send in their articles by June 6th 2014. We also invite feedback from you using our twitter or face book handle.
