CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR: DETAILED DESIGN, PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF PROPOSED KONZA COMPLEX AND FUTURISTIC POLICE STATION AT KONZA TECHNO CITY

Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KOTDA) is the implementing agency for the development of Konza Techno City, a flagship Project under the Kenya Vision 2030 Development Plan. The Government plans that Konza Techno City grows into a sustainable, world-class technology hub with a vibrant mix of businesses, workers, residents and urban amenities. It is anticipated that the project will create 16,675 jobs on completion of Phase 1 and over 200,000 by the year 2030 thereby positioning Kenya as an ICT hub within the region.
The implementation of Phase 1 of Konza Techno City to smart city standards by KoTDA is in progress. Various infrastructural installations such as boreholes, power lines and cadastral survey beacons etc. are now in place, with the opening of the main access road for Phase 1 nearing completion. The Rough Grading for the other access roads to open the Phase 1 A parcels is set to begin soon.
KoTDA plans to develop the Konza Office Complex and the Futuristic Konza Police Station to enhance the Authority’s onsite presence for effective service delivery and to provide security for the envisaged investments.
The consultancy assignment is expected to have expertise in the following areas:
Architects, Landscape Architects & Interior Designers
Quantity Surveyors
Civil & Structural Engineers
Mechanical Engineers
Electrical Engineers
Environmental Specialists
ICT Specialists
KoTDA now invites eligible consultants to express their, interest in designing, preparation of tender documents and supervision of the Konza Complex “and Police Station projects. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they have the necessary qualifications and capacity to perform the services. The information should include description of similar assignments undertaken which have attained Green building certification and experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among key staff, names and addresses of at least 3 clients the consultant has worked with in the past 2 years and specific assignments involved. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. Demonstration of experience in the development of a smart city will be an added advantage.
