Energy Cabinet Secretary (CS) on Wednesday appointed Eng. Collins Juma as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board (KNEB). According to the media reports, CS Charles Keter said the appointment is effective from December 22, 2015. He takes over from Ochilo Ayacko, whose term as Executive Chairman and CEO of KNEB ended in December 2015.

Eng. Juma has worked in the energy sector for over 20 years including working at Kenya Power and (Kenya Electricity Generating Company) KENGEN, his most recent position being Director, Technical Affairs at KNEB where he has served the past four years. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in Operations Management from the University of Nairobi.

He is a registered Consulting Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya, a Council Member and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK). He is also the Chairman of the IEK functions and Conference Committee
