TENDER INVITATION NOTICE
TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED RESEARCH BUILDING WORKS IN NAIROBI
The Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI) invited sealed Technical and Financial bids from eligible contractors for the construction of proposed Research Building Works in NAIROBI, Bids are invited for:-
1. KIRDI 10/2012/2013: Air conditioning of mechanical ventilation contractors
2. KIRDI 11/2012/2013: Boiler and incinerator contractors
3. KIRDI 12/2012/2013: LPG vacuum and compressed air contractors
4. KIRDI 13/2012/2013: plumbing, drainage and firefighting contractors –must be registered with the ministry of public works category B and above.
Bidder must provide validity and certified copies of the following:
i) Certificate of incorporation
ii) VAT and PIN certificates from KRA
iii) Valid Tax Compliance Certificates form KRA
iv) Details of similar works completed within the last five years giving details and clients and consultants who may be contacted for further information
v) The names, qualifications and experienced of key personnel
vi) Sound financial standing (Audited accounts for the last three years)
vii) Litigation history
viii) Details of major equipment and type of ownership
Interested eligible bidder may obtain further information for and inspect the tender documents at procurement office, KIRDI Head Quarters South C Located along Popo Road P. O. Box 30650 Nairobi during normal working hours.
A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested contractor upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kenya shillings five thousand only (Kshs. 5, 000) for each tender in cash or banker cheque payable to Director, Kenya Industrial Research & Development Institute.
The bids should be submitted by post in plain sealed en envelopes clearly marked: Tender for Contractors for proposed research building works in Nairobi”Do not open” stating the category and addressed to:-

Or deposited in the tender box at eh KIRDI South C Popo Road Block D Reception so as to be received not later than 17th JULY 2013 AT 11. 00 AM.
The tenders will be opened the same day at 11. 00 am in Block D Boardroom. Bidders or their representatives who wish to witness the opening are invited to attend.
