On April 30, 2015,LG Electronics unveiled its expansion plans for its customer service centers to meet the needs of its growing customer base. The move will see it open two new centers in Mombasa and Nairobi’s Industrial Area in the next two months, bringing the total number of its service centers in the country to 17.
The company has further undertaken extensive investment on in home service with purchase of vehicles that are to boost in home service across Kenya.
Additionally, the program aims at boosting capabilities of LG technicians through training by experts from Korea, especially on new product categories.
Speaking at the launch, LG Electronics East Africa service Director, Mr. Sunggeun Kang stated “By officially opening the company’s new look customer centre at Highway Mall along Mombasa Road, we intend to enhance service delivery.”
“We are revamping and increasing the number of our customer centers in order to provide fast, effective and delightful service to our customer,” said Mr. Kang.
He concluded that it is our key interest to provide the best value to our customers, who are our reason for being as well as our purpose in business.
LG is also planning to revamp its famous ‘care and delight’ bus by going regional from May 2015. The bus will travel around Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania with the same concept of free service clinic for all LG products. It will provide free labour to LG customers while providing parts at a subsidized rate.
