The Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA) is mandated to convene consultative fora with stakeholders from the public and private sectors who may have an interest in the proper functioning of the public procurement and disposal system in Kenya pursuant to Section 134 of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act, 2005.
This year, the 8th Annual National Public Procurement Stakeholders’ Forum was scheduled for Friday, 29th May 2015 starting from 8.00 am at the Kenyatta International Conventional Center (KICC). The theme of the forum is “Preferences and Reservations Scheme: Assessing the Gains”.
Invited stakeholders include but are not limited to representatives from County Governments’ executives, County Assemblies, National Government Coordinating Units, Sub Counties, Constituencies, Ministries, State Corporations, Public Universities and Colleges, Public Schools, Potential Tenderers, Suppliers/Contractors, Service Providers, Civil Society, Professional Bodies, Development Partners, Women Groups, Youth Groups, persons living with disabilities among others.
The results of the deliberations in the planned consultative meetings will be considered for the purpose of improving the public procurement and disposal system in Kenya.
