In 1970, the East African Institution of Engineers was just budding from creating the initial outline of the Kenyan (and East African) landscape. In Commemorating their first 25 years, they had put one question to ask: ‘What will East Africa be in the year 2000? In 2011, we not only answer that question ten years later, but we look ahead and ask ‘What will Kenya be like in the year 2030? We all have the vision, but do we have the capacity and resources to see it through?
The book seeks to explore the developments, changes and strides made in the last forty years engineering in Kenya. It shall consider each decade, each sector - analyze the ups and downs, seeking expert opinions on key issues and display corporate, government and other institution’s, individual profiles. Internationally, the book will be sold online and also sold to affiliate Universities and Engineering Associations, Public Libraries (mostly Universities) and in Gift-shops that stock Kenyan-ware. For the companies and organizations profiled in the book, we shall provide individually branded copies with their logo silver embossed on the front cover. This will serve as a Publicity tool, as reminders and gifts to potential clients. This is an ideal PR tool for all engineering companies whose engineering sector is unknown to the public, and whose some of the great projects and breakthroughs have passed unnoticed over time. This will be an open platform to showcase your might or uniqueness. Participating in this project will have served a necessary Public Service duty to inform, remind and educate other about your company and brands. for more details please send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
