Samsung, the second largest mobile manufacturing company has launched a solar-powered classroom model at Arap Moi Primary,Kajiado County to enhance e-learning in rural and urban areas.

The unique solar powered technology worth Sh 12.9million comes with a 40 feet shipping container, 25 Galaxy tablets equipments, a multipurpose printer, a 50 inch electric board, internet and solar panels.

In an attempt to continue promoting education across Africa, it has distributed the solar paneled classrooms to South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Gabon and is set to put up more for 2.5 million students in the next one year.

The use of solar energy has not only been adopted in schools as companies too have been put to task to construct buildings that are energy efficient to conserve the environment.
