The Africa Energy Indaba will return from 3–5 March 2026, bringing together policymakers, utilities, developers, financiers, and technology providers to deliberate on Africa’s evolving energy landscape. The event will be hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Positioned as one of the continent’s most influential energy conferences, Africa Energy Indaba continues to serve as a strategic platform for dialogue on power generation, transmission, distribution, and energy transition pathways tailored for Africa. The 2026 edition comes at a critical time, as African countries balance rising electricity demand, grid reliability challenges, and ambitious clean energy targets.
Discussions at the Indaba are expected to span a broad range of themes, including renewable energy integration, grid modernisation, energy storage, gas-to-power solutions, and the role of private capital in accelerating infrastructure development. Regional power pools, cross-border interconnections, and industrial energy demand will also feature prominently on the agenda.
The conference traditionally attracts strong participation from utilities, regulators, EPCs, OEMs, independent power producers, and engineering professionals. For African engineers and energy practitioners, the event offers an opportunity to engage with emerging technologies, policy frameworks, and investment trends shaping the continent’s power sector.
Africa Energy Indaba 2026 is also expected to highlight practical solutions aligned with the event’s long-standing theme of “Solutions for Africa”, emphasising implementable projects rather than theory. Exhibitions and technical sessions will showcase innovations across power generation, transmission equipment, smart grids, and digital energy systems.
