TENDER NOTICE

Construction of 5 No. Standard Water Kiosks

Kilifi-Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company Ltd have received funds from the Water Services Trust Fund under the Urban Project Concept (UPC -6) and intend to use part of the funds to undertake the following projects. The Company hereby invites bids from eligible firms to  undertake the following:

Supply, laying, testing and back filling 8770metres pipeline of assorted materials and sizes
Construction of 5 No. Standard Water Kiosks
Pre-tender Site Visit: Date. 15th January, 2014 at Mazeras Water Offices.

Construction of Elevated Pressed Steel Tank of 50m3 oh 21-m high Steel Tower at Kokotoni Mazeras
Pre-tender Site Visit: Date. 15th January, 2014 at Mazeras Water Offices.
Non Refundable tender fee: KES. 1,000

Requirements

1.      Must be registered contractor with the National Construction Authority under category NCA7 and above

2.      Bid Security of 2% of the tender sum from a reputable financial institution or inform of a bankers cheque.

3.      Provide Certified Audited accounts for the last 3 years

4.      Certified copies of current Tax Compliance Certificate, VAT and PIN Certificates

5.    , Proof of Legal existence (Certified Copies of Certificates of Incorporation /Registration)

6.    Valid Business Permit issued by County Government

7.      Certificate of Pre – tender site visit signed by authorized officer

8.      Proof of work of similar nature & magnitude undertaken in the last 3 years

9.      Availability of appropriate and relevant skills among staff

Tender documents with detailed specifications can be obtained upon payment of the above charges from our office located at former KDDP Offices Kilifi town off Mombasa-Malindi Road during normal working hours. Completed tender documents in a plain sealed envelope bearing no indication of the tenderer but clearly marked with the Tender No. should be addressed to:

The sealed tender document should be sent through the above address or lodged in the Tender box situated at our offices on or before 23rd January, 2014 not later than 11.00am. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at the company’s Board room in the presence of the interested tenderers or their representatives who chose to attend.

The company reserves the right to accept/reject any tender in part or whole and to terminate the tendering process at any time prior to contract award.
