Kenya Wildlife Service invites interested and eligible Contractors to tender for construction works at various sites, as follows;

Participation in the tender is open to Building Contractors who are registered with the National Construction Authority as a General Building Contractor NCA-5 and above for package 1-4 and NCA-6 and above for packages 5-7.

A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1,000.00 at the cash office situated at KWS HQS, payable in cash or bankers cheque to the Director -KWS. The document can also be viewed and downloaded from the website www.kws.go.ke Bidders who download the tender document from the website must forward their particulars immediately to hps@kws.go.kefor our record and any further tender clarifications and addenda.Candidates who download the tender document will not be required to pay the non-refundable fee. Any further clarifications will also be posted in the website

Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below as a minimum, supported by relevant document at submission will be considered for further evaluation, unless directly exempted by Public procurement and disposal (preference and reservations) regulations 2011, in which case the said regulations shall prevail;

A.Tender Security as stipulated in invitation to bid from a recognised bank or insurance company.

B.Certificate of incorporation/business registration Certificate

C.Duly completed Tender questionnaire/Confidential Business Questionnaire

D.Registration with National Construction Authority as general buildings contractor in respective categories as stipulated above

E.Duly completed Power of attorney to sign tender documents

F.Valid tax compliance certificate

G.Authority to seek references from the tenderer’s bankers

H.Audited accounts for the last 2 years or bank statement for last 24 months immediately preceding tender

The completed bids in plain sealed envelope marked with tender reference number and tender name, shall be deposited into the Tender Box located at the entrance of Main Reception,

on or before 12:00 Noon on 13™ August 2013. The tenders shall be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders representatives who wish to attend at KWS Vet Board Room.

A pre-bid conference shall be held on Wednesday 24th July 2013 at 10.00 a.m. at Vet Boardroom, KWS Headquarters.
