Purchase of Twin Engine Helicopter;

IFB No. KETRACO/PT/007/2014

The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Eastern Electricity Highway Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for purchase of a helicopter.

Kenya Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply of Twin Engine Helicopter.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loam and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 0900 to 1600 hours, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs 1,000 or equivalent The method of payment will be Bankers Cheque in favour of Kenya Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd or paid in cash in Account’s Office, 2nd Floor, Capitol Hill Square, Chyulu Road.

6.  Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 21″ January 2016 at 10.00 am.

Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at / 0.00 am.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security sourced from a bank operating in Kenya of at least US$ 120,000 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
