TENDER NOTICE

Construct 245 water meter chambers as per design specifications

Kiambere -Mwingi Water and Sanitation Company has received funding from Water Services Trust Fund under the Urban Project Concept (UPC) Programme and intends to use part of the proceeds to finance the implementation of a water project in Mwingi town. The Company hereby invites bids from eligible firms to undertake the following works.

KIMWSCO/UPC6/001/2013
   

1.  Construct a 4-inch diameter by 1.335km pipeline extension complete with valve
chambers as per design specifications.

2.  Construct 245 water meter chambers as per design specifications

KIMWSCO/UPC6/002/2013
   

Construct a 150m3 capacity pressed steel elevated water tank complete with 9 meter high steej support structure as per design specifications.

KIMWSCO/UPC6/003/2013
   

Supply 256 No cold water meters and assorted fittings as per specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

1.      Must be a registered under National Contractors Association (NCA) category 7 and above

2.      Proof of legal and physical existence ( copies of certificates of incorporation and physical address)

3.      Certified copies of Current Tax Compliance, VAT and PIN Certificates.

4.      A bid security of 2% of quoted price in form of a Bankers cheque or a bank guarantee from a reputable Bank.

5.      Sound financial standing (attach Audited Accounts for the last 3 years)

6.      Proof of similar works undertaken in the last 5 years.

7.      Details of litigation history related to Government contracts.

8.      Provide details of current workload

9.      Must have current business permit.

10.    Attend MANDATORY Pre-tender site meeting/visit on 22/1/2014. Bidders will assemble at the company’s office premises at 10.00am and should arrange for their own transport.

11.    Certificate of pre-site inspection.

Tender documents with full details of the works can be collected from our offices in Mwingi Town during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh.1, 000 (One thousand shillings only) payable in cash. Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender number and tender name should be deposited in the Tender box at our offices or sent through the address below:

so as to reach NOT LATER THAN 30th January, 2014 at 12.00 noon. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter the same day in the Company’s board room in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

The Company reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in part or wholly and to annul the tendering process at any time prior to contract award without thereby incurring liability to the affected bider.
