KANGEMA CONSTITUENCY DEVELOPMENT FUND

TENDER NOTICE

TENDER NO.CDF/KANG/01/2013-14

Proposed Construction Of Kangema Social Hall

Eligible contractors are invited to bid for the construction of Kangema Social Hall. The contractor should be registered with the National Construction Authority Category NCA6 and above in building works.

Tender documents can be purchased at CDF Office at non-refundable fee of Ksh 1,000 payable in cash at the District Treasury between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00p.m during the normal working days.

To be considered for the works a tender must attach copies of:-

1.      Valid tax compliance Certificate.

2.      National Construction Authority registration certificate (category NCA6 and above)

3.      Company registration/incorporation certificate

4.      Abid bond of 2% of tender price in form of a Bank Guarantee or Insurance Company approved by PPOA valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening.

5.      The most recent three years (2010, 2011 and 2012) Audited Financial Statements.

6.      Comparable works done in the last three years (attach copies of completion certificates)

7.      Curriculum vitae of the personnel in the firm and the intended foreman.

8.      Any litigation history (both court and arbitration history)

9.      Details of contractor’s equipment and plant and type of ownership (attach ownership certificates)

Further note the following tenderers shall be treated as non-responsive;

1.      A tender with any project(s) behind schedule without approved extension of time.

2.      A tenderer whose tender sum is not within plus or minus 10% of the official estimates.

3.      A tenderer who has not filled the Form of Tender and the Confidential Business Questionnaire

4.      A tenderer who has been served with a default notice or termination of an on-going project.

Tender document in plain sealed envelopes marked with the Tender Number and Name of the project should be deposited in the Tender Box located outside the CDF office or sent to;

So as to be received on or before 18th Dec 2013 at 10:00am. Tenders will be opened immediately on the same day and time in presence of contractors/ representative who chose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened and prices quoted must remain valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening.

The client reserves the right to reject any tender in whole or in part and is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender submitted.
