Kenya Power invites bids from interested firms to engineer, Procure, construct and Finance of the following systems. Tender documents detailing the requirement of the above tender may be obtained from the Office of the Project Leader, Energy Sector Recovery Project situated on the 2nd floor, Stima Investment Plaza, Kolobot Road, Nairobi on normal working days from Friday 12th April 2013 between 9. 00 am to12. 30pm and 2. 00pm to 4.30pm upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kenya shillings Five thousand shillings only (Kshs. 5, 000) or the equivalent amount in United States Dollars (USD) using the selling exchange rate ruling at the date of the tender document purchase provided by the Central Bank of Kenya (see Central Bank of Kenya website – www.centralbank.go.ke) Payment shall be made in cash or by bankers cheque at Stima Plaza, 1st floor, Costing Office. 5. O. Box 30099 – 00100 NAIROBI – Kenya And deposited in the tender box situated on the Ground floor, Stima Plaza, Nairobi so as to be received on or before Wednesday 5th June 2013. 6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in a freely convertible currency equivalent to Euro 350, 000. 00. Late bids will be rejected. 7. Bidders are advised to carefully read the proposed financial Plan before bid preparation and submission. 8. Save when responding to Kenya Power request for clarification, bidders shall not contact or discuss any aspect of their tenders with Kenya Power after the tender closing date before receipt of notification of award to tenders or letters of regret, as applicable.
