INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF KONZA TECHNO CITY SALES PAVILION
TENDER NO: MIC/2/2012-2013
The Ministry of Information and Communications in conjunction with internal Finance Corporation is an arm of the World Bank invites bids for eligible contractors who are registered with Ministry of Public Works in Category B and above for those works.
 
Interested contractors who appear in the current Building Contractors Register (Proof of registration required) may obtain tender documents form Supplies Chain Management office No. K8-3 on 8th Floor Teleposta Towers in person or against written permission after paying of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs. 5, 000. 00 tot eh cash office situated ion 8th floor, Teleposta Towers, and a bid security of Kshs. 5, 000. 00 or bankers cheque written in favour of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Information and Communications.
 
Interested bidders should note that those meeting the criteria indicated as a minimum, supported by relevant documents, will be considered for further evaluation.
• Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last five years
• Bid bond must be in form of Bank Guarantee form a reputable bank of approved   insurance company
• Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified type of works
• Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line
• Litigations history of the company (both court and arbitration cases)
• Tax compliance certificate
Tender in plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked number on the right had corner bearing no identity of the Tenderer, should be addressed to:

And placed in the tender Box, located on 8th floor, Teleposta Towers, Kenyatta Avenue or sent by post to reach him on or before Friday 2nd November 2012 at 12.00 noon submitted Tenders will be immediately thereafter at 12.15 pm in the conference Room on 9th floor Teleposta Towers, in the presence of bidders or their representatives who may wish to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.
 
Price quoted must remain valid for one hundred and Eighty (180) days from the date of the Tender.
 
The bid security which must be form an established bank or approved insurance company, shall remain valid to One hundred and Twenty (120) days.
