TENDER NOTICE
KMTC/8/2012-2013 – PROPOSED RE-ROOFING OF STAFF HOUSES / STUDENTS HOSTELS AT THIKA MTC
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) invites tenders from contractors to carry out the following works:-

Tender documents with full item / service specifications can be obtained for KMTC Nairobi supplies Department KMTC NAIROBI College upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kenya shillings four thousand only (Kshs. 4, 000) per set of document payable by bankers cheque or be deposited at National Bank of Kenya, Account No. 0100358521700. Cash is strictly not acceptable.
Completed fender documents, in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender number and bearing no indications of the sender, must be submitted in the manner described in the Tender documents and addressed to:-

And be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the entrance of the KMTC Administration Block Nairobi on or before 30th October 2012 at 10. 00 am. Submitted bids will be opened publicly in the Milne Hall, KMTC Nairobi soon after the above stated closing date and time in presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Prices quoted must remain valid for one hundred and twenty (120) days from the opening date of the tender.
Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below as a minimum supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation.
1. Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last five years.
2. The bid bond must be in form of Bank Guarantee form a reputable bank or approved insurance company and shall be valid for one hundred and fifty (150) days for the tender opening date.
3. Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified types of works
4. Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line
5. Confidential Business Questionnaire
6. Tax Compliance certificate
Further, tenders form the following tenderers shall be treated as non-responsive and therefore subject to automatic disqualification:-
i) A tender from a tenderer who’s on – going projects is / are behind schedule and without an approved extension of time.
ii) A tender from a tenderer who has been served with a default notice on an ongoing projects or a tenderer who has been terminated in a Government contract in the past and has not been reinstated in the Registrar of Contractors.
iii) A tender form a tenderer with on-going project in public institutions exceeding four (4) in number, regardless of the total value of the outstanding works.
iv) A tender from a tenderer whose tender sum is above plus or minus 10 percent of the official estimate.
KMTC reserves the right to accept or reject any tender either in whole or in part and without giving reasons for the rejection and not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
