Gogni Rajope Construction Company Limited scooped two awards during this year’s Company of the Year awards (COYA) 2017.The company emerged best in the Corporate Citizenship and Environmental Focus category. It was also awarded the best in Productivity and Quality.
In a published post by the local dailies, Chairman of Gogni Rajope Construction Company Limited, Eng. H.R Juma said “Two years ago we took the decision to open our doors to assessors of the Organizational Performance Index (OPI) program to review our systems based on the seven determinants and as you can see it has paid back with these two awards.”
The OPI Index tool looks at excellence and awards certificate and trophies in seven key determinants including leadership and Management, Human Resource Focus, Customer Orientation and Marketing, Financial Management, Innovation, Information Technology and Knowledge Management, Corporate Citizenship and Environmental focus and Productivity and Quality.
The 18th edition of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) Company of the Year awards (COYA) ceremony took place in the month of November. The theme for this year’s awards was ‘Transformational Leadership in Disruptive Markets.
Over 600 companies have participated in COYA since 2000 and 350 companies both in Kenya and Rwanda have participated in the OPI process since its launch in 2010 and are at different stages of OPI implementation as they reap tremendous benefits leading to business growth.
