The 3rd Edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week started Monday 6th to Friday 10th March has attracted numerous partners and sponsors.

The partners are from both government and private sector. Our strategic partners include the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (MoICT) and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives. Strategic partners from the development agencies are represented by Embassy of Finland and UNICEF.

Dr. Omwansa said “We are looking for partners who we share the same passion for innovation.” He further stated that with shrinking employment opportunities, innovation secures the future of many young people.

Cabinet Secretaries expected to grace the occasion include Hon. Fred Matiangi, Hon. Joe Mucheru and Hon. Adan Mohamed. They will deliver keynote speeches at the event as well as hold plenary sessions.

The private sector is represented by Barclays Bank as the title sponsor, KCB as  gold sponsor and Safaricom as  silver sponsors.

ICT cabinet secretary Joe Mucheru is expected to officially open the exhibition on Wednesday.

The innovation week started in 2015 with a 10-year plan focusing on invention. The annual event seeks to bring together entrepreneurs with innovative ideas as well as corporates with latest inventions. It also seeks to create a platform for academic presentations.
