KENYA RURAL ROADS AUTHORITY

INVITATION TO TENDER

The Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in collaboration with the respective County Governments hereby invites bids from Bidders prequalified in the respective counties for construction of the following Box Culverts and bridge:-

NAROKCOUNTY

(a) 3 Cell 5m x 2.5m Box Culvert at Ololulunga along Ololulunga – Olemekenyu (W2721) Road

(b) 2 Cell 5m x 2.5m Box Culvert at Mogor on Olchobosei – Takitech – Emurua Dikirr (URA11) Road

(d) Kipsonoi River Bridge and Approach Roads along Kamureito-Uswet Road (UNCL) – 40m Span

QUALIFICATION FOR TENDERING

The following must be submitted with the Tender:-

a) Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation

b) Registration with the National Construction Authority in category NCA 3 and above for the bridge and NCA 6 and above for the box culverts

c) Thresholds specified in the Tender Documents covering the following:-

i. Similar previous experience

ii. Equipment holding

iii.Professional and Technical Personnel

iv. Turnover and liquid assets supported by Audited Accounts for the previous three (3) consecutive years

v. Current work load

vi. Litigation history

d) VAT registration

e) PIN registration

f) Valid Tax Compliance Certificate

Procurement shall be based on the post qualification method and the above details must be submitted together with the priced bid. Failure to submit the above information will be a reason for disqualification.

Bid Documents will be available from the Manager (Procurement), Kenya Rural Roads Authority offices on 5th floor. Blue Shield Towers, Hospital Road from 5TH September, 2013 upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (one thousand only) by Banker’s Cheque against an official receipt of the Authority for each of the documents.

Bidders shall converge at the KeRRA Regional Offices in the respective Counties on 25th September, 2013 at 10:00 am for the mandatory pre-tender site visit and meeting. The meetings will be conducted by the respective KeRRA Regional Managers.

Completed Bid Documents should be submitted to:-

Or deposited in the Tender Boxes of the Respective Regional Managers,Kenya Rural Roads Authority on or before 14th October,2013 at 11:00 am.

Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of Tenderers Representatives who wish to attend.
