REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

 

PROJECT:

 

DESIGN OF SMALL DAMS AND WATER PANS UNDER THE NATIONAL WATER HARVESTING AND STORAGE PROGRAMME

 

ASSIGNMENT TITLE:

 

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANCY SERVICES (ICS) FOR DESIGN OF SMALL DAMS AND WATER PANS

 

1.  The Government has set funds to implement a National Water Harvesting and Storage Programme in the current Finani Year. The Ministry of Devolution and Planning in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resourt shall undertake the Works through National Youth Service, Eight Water Service Boards and Six Regional Developm Authorities.

 

2.  Further to the advertisement dated 14th February 2014 by Ministry of Devolution and planning under The Presidency regarding Construction of small dams a pans under the National Water Harvesting and Storage Programme Tender No. MDP/17/2013-2014, the LakeVictoria North Water Services Board now invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Qualified and experienced Individ Consultants to carry out feasibility studies/Conditional surveys, and detailed designs including tender documentation the following small dams and pans

Interested Individual Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:

 

i.       Individual consultant must have at least a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years overall experie in design of dams of up to 500,000 m3 storage

 

ii.      Must have successfully designed at least 2 nr dams of similar capacity in the last 5 years.

 

iii.     In addition, the Individual consultant must be a registered consulting engineer with the Engineers’ Board of Keny equivalent approved bodies.

 

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultants Selection (ICS) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
