MAUA WATER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION AND SEWERAGE PROJECTS

INVITATION TO TENDER

Tana Water Services Board has received funds from the Government of Kenya(GoK) and intends to apply the Funds towards financing the construction of the above named Projects

The Executing Agency for the Project will be Tana Water Services Board and intends to contract the construction works.

The scope of the works includes but not limited to the following: –

LOT I -MAUA WATER DISTRIBUTION

Laying of assorted distribution pipes approximately 21 km.

Construction of 4 No. break pressure tanks.

Construction of a conventional water treatment works (composite treatment unit) with a capacity of 600m3/day.

LOT 11-MAUA SEWERAGE PROIECT

Laying of secondary sewers – I Okm (approximately).

Laying of trunk main – 14km (approximately).

Treatment works of capacity 3200m3 including auxiliary works/structures.

Eligibility

Firms incorporated in Kenya.

Valid Tax compliant Certificate

Must have PIN and VAT certificates.

Similar works (Lot I – Kshs 400 million and Lot II – Kshs 800 million) in the last five (5) years.

Adequate plant and equipment, professional and technical staff.

Registration category “NCA 4” or above for Lot I and “NCA 2” or above for Lot II.

Eligible applicants may obtain tender documents upon payment of non-refundable fee of Kshs 1000 during normal working hours (8.00 – 1.00 pm, 2.00 – 5.00 pm) from: Procurement Department, Tana Water Services Board, Maji House, Baden Powell Road, Nyeri.

The tender documents can also be viewed and downloaded free of charge from the following websites: IFMIS tender portal (http://supplier.treasury.go.ke) and on TWSB website (www(5>tanawsb.or,ke).

There will be a mandatory pre-tender site visit on 4th April 2016, starting at 9.00am at the Basin Hotel, Maua. Bidders will bear their own costs of the site visit.

Bidders are required to submit a bid security of Kshs 2 million for Lot I and Kshs 3 million for Lot II in the form of a bank guarantee valid for 90 days from tender closing date or a banker’s cheque.

addressed to the address given below should be deposited in the Tana Water Services Board Tender Box situated at the TWSB Reception, not later than 14th April 2016 at 10.00am. •

Submitted bids will be opened soon thereafter at the TWSB Resource Centre in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who wish to attend.

Bidders are advised to regularly visit TWSB Website to obtain additional information/ addendum on the Tender.

Canvassing or lobbying for the tender shall lead to automatic disqualification and late bids will not be accepted.
