TENDER NOTICE

NSSF TENDER NO. 01/2013-2014

PROPOSED MILIMANI EXECUTIVE APARTMENTS ALONG

STATE HOUSE ROAD, NAIROBI

The National Social Security Fund invites sealed tenders from eligible and competent Contractors for Builders works and Specialist Works for the Proposed Milimani Executive apartments along State House Road, Nairobi.

Interested Contractors who must be qualified and registered with Ministry of Public Works Category “A” should obtain the Tender documents from the Procurement office 9th floor, room No. 905 upon payment of Kshs. 5, 000 nonrefundable fee either in cash or bankers cheque payable to National Social Security Fund at cash office Podium Floor, NSSF Building Block A, Western Wing, Bishops Road Nairobi.

Specific works for which tenders are invited include main works comprising of (a) builders (b) plumbing and drainage and (c) electrical works among others. The proposed domestic sub – contractors must also be registered with the Ministry of Public Works in Category “A”.

Tender documents shall be accompanied by the following mandatory / statutory requirements for preliminary evaluation:

1. Certificate of company / firm registration

2. Valid tax compliance certificate

3. Valid NSSF compliance certificate

4. Details of directorship/ownership with respective shareholding and citizenship details

5. Audited accounts for the last 3 years i.e. within 2009 – 2013

6. Must have been registered with Ministry of Public Works / National Construction Authority category A within the past three years (2009 – 2013).

7. Domestic sub-contractors must have been registered with Ministry of Public Works / National construction Authority Category A within the past three years (2209 – 2013) and also current ERC license class “A” within the past three years (2009 – 2013) and also current ERC license class “A1” for electrical sub – contractors.

8. Bid bond / Tender security of Kenya Shillings hundred million from a reputable bank or PPOA authorized insurance company located in Kenya valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening.

9. Valid joint agreements with the proposed domestic sub – contractors (b and c above)

10. Power of Attorney (of Tender Signatory) – apples in case of a Joint venture, or where signatory is non-director)

11. Litigation history (sworn affidavit) on construction/ contractual maters (not procurement processes).

12. The Domestic subcontractors MUST also provide all the documents above except the Bid BOND / Tender security.

Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelope enclosing separately sealed envelopes (in “Original and “Copy”) all clearly marked NSSF Tender No. 01/2012-2013 –Proposed Mililani Executive Apartments along state house Road, Nairobi. As per instructions in the tender documents and addressed to:-

Should be deposited in the Tender Box on 2nd floor flock A western wing; Social security House, Nairobi on or before 11. 00 am local time on 25th July 2013. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the seminar Room on 4th floor, social security House, Block A western wing, Nairobi in the presence of Tenders representatives who choose to attend.

A pre-tender meeting for interested tenders is scheduled to be held at 10. 00am on 17th July 2013 in the Seminar room at Social Security House, NAIROBI block A 4th floor followed by a guided visit tot eh site.

The NSSF reserves the right to accept or reject any tender either in whole or in part without giving reasons for either rejection or acceptance.
