INVITATION FOR BIDS

NCB NO: NWSB/T/CW/003/2013-2014

PROJECT : EXTENSION AND AUGMENTATION OF GARBA TULLA TOWN WATER SUPPLY PROJECT.

Northern Water Services Board a State Corporation under the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources, has received funds from Kenya Italy Debt for Development Programme for use during the financial year 2013 – 2014 and intends to use part of these funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for Extension and Augmentation of Garba tulla Town Water Supply Project.

Northern Water Services Board now invites sealed Tenders from eligible contractors who should meet the following minimum conditions.

i. Registered as contractor in Water Works in class C and above (A,B,C)

ii. Evidence of past experience in similar works of same nature and complexity in the previous two years.

iii. Have certificate of incorporation as a company.

iv. Have a tax compliance certificate

v. Audited books of accounts for the last 3 yrs

The works involves but are not limited to the following-:

Drilling and Equipping of 2No. boreholes, Range Water Rising Main, 150M3 Steel elevated tank, Distribution System and Capacity building.

Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information from and inspect the tender documents at Northern Water Service Board, P.O Box 495-70100, Kismayu Road, Maji House Garissa, Tel 046 210 3598, Fax : 046 210 3197 during normal working hours from the Procurement office.

A Complete set of tender documents can be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of nonrefundable fees of Kshs 1,000.00 per set of documents in cash or banker’s cheque payable to Northern Water Services Board.

The completed tender documents in plain sealed envelope clearly marked “Tender For Extension and Augmentation of Garba tulla Town Water Supply Project” and accompanied by a Bid Security (in form of a bank guarantee) of Kshs 500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Kenya shillings) should be addressed and sent to:

Or, may be deposited in tender box situated on the ground floor at Northern Water Services Board office Garissa so as to be received on or before the 16th September 2013 at 11.00 am. Prices quoted should be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for 120 days from the closing date of the tender.

The tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in NWSB conference room in the presence of bidders or their representatives who may wish to attend.

The board reserves the right to accept or reject any application in part or whole, and is not bound to give reason
for its decision. Late bids will be rejected.
