By Daisy Gakuu Samsung Electronics East Africa has unleashed the long awaited fourth generation galaxy smartphone, GALAXY S4 into the Kenyan Market. The company set out a global launch of the the smartphone dubbed “Life Companion” with Kenya being the second African country to receive it after South Africa. It has the Full HD Super AMOLED display, which shows images with great resolution. It has a 5-inch screen with 441ppi for stunning viewing quality and also utilizes Corning’s new Gorilla Glass 3. In addition, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front camera. It has a Dual Camera function that allows the simultaneous use of both cameras. The Camera functionality extends beyond the Dual Camera as the device is equipped with 12 outstanding shooting modes including Sound& Shot, which uniquely stores sound and voice together as the picture is taken. Also, Drama Shot which allows the user to see all the action in one continuous time-lapse ensuring you capture every moment in the truest form just as it happened. With its Group Play function, users are able to share, play and co-create content and entertainment instantly without requiring a WI-FI or cellular signal. Its Share Music option allows users to have the song playing on multiple phones insync creating a party atmosphere. The S Translator breaks down the language barriers providing instant translation via text or voice translation applications including email, message, ChatON or text. Other features in the GALAXY S4 include: Smart Pause which enables one control the screen by where one looks; Smart Scroll (allows the user to scroll the browser or emails up and down without touching the screen); Air View (allows one to hover with their fingers previewing email content, image gallery, video, S Planner without having to open it); Air Gesture, S Voice Drive and the S Health software which keeps the user up-to-date with health information. The GALAXY S4 will be available at all Samsung brand Shops at Westgate Mall, Ridgeways Mall, Moi Avenue (First Mobile), Hilton Arcade (Makarim), the Junction Mall, Airtel shops, Safaricom shops and Samsung authorized dealers countrywide.
