EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

TRANSACTION ADVISOR FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF AN OPERATOR FOR THE MOMBASA – NAIROBI STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY, NOW UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Kenya Railways (KR) is a State Corporation established under Cap 397 of the Laws of Kenya. KR intends to procure a Transaction Advisor (TA) to advice on the procurement of a competent operator for the operation of the Mombasa to Nairobi’Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) currently under construction. The TA will recommend to KR appropriate operating model for the railway which will inform the procurement of the Operator by the Corporation.

KR therefore invites eligible firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to provide the above consultancy services.

Complete EOI documents are available from the KR website; www.krc.co.ke. Candidates may therefore download the EOI from the Kenya Railways website or obtain a copy from the office of the Procurement Manager, Kenya Railway Headquarters, 1st Floor Block C, Workshops road off Haile Selassie Avenue.

Applicants who download the EOI document from the Kenya Railways website and intend to subrnfc EOI MUST register their interest immediately by sending an email to procure@krc.coMe stating their names and address. Please note that any clarification or additional information will only be sent to firms that will have registered.

Expressions of Interest shall be returned in a plain sealed plain envelope, bearing one (1) original and five (5) copies of the EOI; shall be clearly marked “KRC/PLM/39/15-16: TRANSACTION ADVISOR (TA) FOR PROCUREMENT OF AN OPERATOR FOR MOMBASA – NAIROBI STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY (SGR) UNDER DEVELOPMENT” addressed to:
