INVITATION TO TENDER

Electrical Fence Installation Works

Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute – KMFRl, is a research body established within the provision of the Science and Technology Amendment Act (1979) Cap 250 charged with the responsibility to undertake meaningful and development oriented research in Marine, Fresh water Fisheries and Aquatic Environment.

KMFRl invites bids for the above mentioned works at the just completed Ocean Resource Centre Ultra facility at the Institute Headquarters in Mombasa.

Bidders will be required to submit copies of the following MANDATORY documents:

1.    Proof of registration with Ministry of Public works/INCA

2.    Company dossier with proof of incorporation

3.    List of similar works

4.    List of on-going works

5.    Valid/current tax compliance certificate issued by KRA.

6.    Tender bid security equivalent to 2% of bidder’s TENDER SUM issued by a reputable Bank or an insurance firm that is registered with the Public Procurement and Oversight Authority, PPOA.

Interested bidders MUST additionally submit proof of having visited and inspected the site in form of a certificate that will be issued by the client through the undersigned contact officer.

The tender documents will be issued at the KMFRl Office, Mkomani, Mombasa, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh.1, 000.00 payable in form of banker’s cheque or cash payable to KMFRl cashier at the Headquarters office in Mombasa during normal working hours.

Tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked TENDER FOR ELECTRICAL FENCE INSTALLATION WORKS FOR THE OCEAN RESOURCE CENTRE ULTRA FACILITY IN MOMBASA” MUST be sent to the:

Or be deposited into the KMFRI’s Tender Box so as to reach him on or before Wednesday 20°’ November 2013 at 12.00 Noon. Tender opening will take place immediately thereafter in the Conference Hall in the Presence of Tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Prices quoted must remain valid for a minimum period of one hundred and twenty (120) days from the opening date of the tender.

KMFRl reserves the right to reject any or all applications without incurring any liabilities thereof.
