CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
FOR INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Tullow Kenya B.V. is a subsidiary of Tullow Oil Pic, Africa’s leading independent oil & gas exploration and production company. The Company is in various stages of exploration across its licenses in Kenya with a multi-well drilling campaign underway.
This is a request for an Expression of Interest (EOI) from reputable specialist service companies for the provision of Integrated Waste Management Services (for industrial and hazardous wastes), to support the Tullow field based exploration operations mainly in Turkana County, Kenya.
The service supplier shall comply with all applicable Kenyan regulations, Tullow Oil Environmental Standards, International Best Practice, and the highest level industry standards related to environment, health and safety.
Scope and Deliverables:
The scope of work envisioned for the Integrated Waste Management Services is as follows:
a) Storage, processing, treatment and disposal of domestic, industrial and hazardous wastes
b) Disposal of the process remnants generated and inert material in dedicated NEMA approved sites
c) Setting up transfer stations and transportation of waste from the transfer stations to the Integrated Waste processing and disposal facility. Transfer stations will be undertaken only if it is found viable
Companies Eligible to Participate in the Expression of Interest:
1. Must have experience in setting up and operating facilities with a capacity of more than or equal to 2 Tonnes per day
2. Must have been established prior to 2008 and been actively practicing since then
3. Must submit information to demonstrate their technical competency and relevant experience
4. Must be licensed by NEMA
5. Must be able to meet the minimum requirements specified
Interested Companies are requested to submit with their application the following required information:
i. Company profile, with full organization details, background and organization structure
ii. A comprehensive disclosure of qualifications and CV’s of key personnel engaged on full time basis, including organization structure and clear indication of the staff role in the firm
iii. Description of at least four (4) similar assignments executed in the last five (5) years to include the contract value, number of staff recruited, designations and period of recruitment
iv. Certified copies of firm’s registration certificate and other relevant certification and licenses
v. Certified copies of PIN and /VAT registration and a current tax compliance certificate issued by KRA
Potential service suppliers may be requested to submit further information for pre-qualification prior to being included in any Bidders List.
Tullow Kenya B.V. will only consider working with reputable, experienced, financially capable companies. It should be noted and accepted that being willing to tender for this work and submitting information in response to this enquiry neither guarantees inclusion on any Bidders List, nor is it a technical endorsement by Tullow Kenya B.V. of the integrity or competency of any company nor of the products or services supplied. Submission of a response to this enquiry is entirely at the discretion of each supplier. Tullow Kenya B.V. will not contribute towards the expenses of compiling any submission nor be responsible for any losses.

Two identical hard copy documents shall be submitted and one electronic copy on CD. Failure to submit the correct number of EOls or in the correct format may result in exclusion from the review process. Your EOI submission shall be submitted with a cover letter stating
compliance with the requirements stated above and the Services/Goods for which you wish to be considered.
EOls conforming to these Terms of Reference shall be reviewed with the intent to develop the Bidders list for a tender exercise to be undertaken in Q4 2013
