The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received financing from the African the African Development Fund towards the cost of the Mombasa – NAIROBI – Addis Ababa Road Corridor Development Project Phase II – Upgrading of Marsabit – Turbi Road (A2) Section, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for the following Consultancy services.
1. Technical Audit Services for Marsabit – Turbi Road project
2. Technical Audit Services for Turbi – Moyale Road Project
The consultancy services to be undertaken involves providing the project technical audit services to ensure that the proceeds of the loan are used economically, efficiently, and solely for the purposes they are intended. The technical audit will also ensure that the contracting parties are performing as per the requirements of the respective contracts and their objectives are met.
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) being an authorized agent of the Government of The Republic of Kenya now invited eligible consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Brochures, description of similar assignments, in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff etc) Consultants may associate to enhance their chance of qualifications.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the shortlisted and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” (May 2008 edition) which is available on the Banks website at http://www.afdb.org Borrowers are under no obligation to shortlist any consultants who express interest.

Bidders can apply either for one or both(separate packages) of the consultancy services. Packages containing expression of interest should be clearly marked with the following statements “Expression of interest for Consultancy Services for Technical Audit of (Name of road) project” and must be delivered to the address below on or be on Friday 10th August 2012 at12. 00 hours East African Time.
