“Bird” Conflict arises in Nakuru

Who would have thought there would ever occur travel conflicts in the air? This is however the case in Nakuru after environmentalists called for the stop of construction of the Nakuru International Airport. Even though they all fly to move, one will have to pave way for the other.

The airport which was to be set up on a 100 acre piece of land in Mbaruk was marked as unsuitable site for the airport as it would be on the migratory route for birds flying to and from Lake Nakuru.

The government has said that they will sell the land and buy elsewhere.
