If you are a software developer, seeking to be identified as top of your game, you need to take this exam. Your only investment? Time. On 19th December,Carnegie Mellon University in conjunction with the Kenya ICT Board will be offering 50 developers a Software Developer Certification (SDC) at University of Nairobi, School of Computing and Informatics, Computer Lab, Chiromo Campus.
To be considered you will need to fill out an online application form on http://www.softwaredevelopercertification.com/the-sdc-program.The exam will take up to 6 hours. The program consists of an authentic examination that tests an individual’s ability to perform tasks that developers routinely encounter on the job. Test takers write, compile, debug, and test real software to demonstrate their abilities in a secure, proctored exam.
Objectives of The exam
The pilot exam will expose candidates to the actual environment for the final exam to be available to the world next year.
It will test the ability of software developers to write, compile, debug, and test real software.
The exam will also enable Carnegie Mellon University calibrate the exam to universally accepted standards.
Kenya will also have a chance to demonstrate to the world that their developers are of a high caliber.
