TITLE: CONSULTING SERVICES FOR MWACHE DAM WATER TREATMENT PLANT FEASIBILITY STUDY
CONTRACT NO.CWSB/CRWS&CRP-AFD/MWACHE/C/1/2015
The Republic of Kenya has received a financing from the French Development Agency (AFD) grant study fund, and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the following project: Mwache Dam Water Treatment Plant Feasibility Study.
The mission of the consultant shall consist of:
Analyze of existing documents, review of the design of Mwache dam water supply system (except the dam itself) including Mwache dam water treatment plant and treated water transmission system, and update of financial estimate,
Preparation of Tender Dossiers for necessary services to prepare Mwache Water Treatment Plant Project including: topographical survey, geotechnical investigations, detailed design and supervision, environmental and social impact assessment, resettlement action plan.
Coast Water Services Board hereby invites consultants to show their interest in delivering the services described above.
Eligibility criteria to AFD’s financing are specified in sub-clause l .3 of the “Guidelines for the Procurement of the AFD-Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries”, available online on AFD’s website www.afd.fr.
Interested consultants must provide information evidencing that they are qualified and experienced to perform those services. For that purpose, documented evidence of recent and similar services shall be submitted.
Determination of the similarity of the experiences will be based on:
the nature of the services: design reviews or feasibility studies for large water projects, hydraulic modelling, preparation of tender dossiers,
the technical area and expertise: large water treatment plants and pumping stations, water tanks, transmission mains
The Client will also take into account for the evaluation of the applications the following items:
Availability of appropriate skills among staff (water intakes, water treatment, water supply, geotechnics,. electromechanical engineering, environment, procurement)
Ability to take into account local context and establish a reliable financial estimate of works (regional experience, local partner)
Among the submitted applications, the Coast Water Services Board will shortlist a maximum of Six (6) consultants, to whom the Request for Proposals to carry out the services shall be sent.
Expressions of interest must be submitted to the address below no later than 23rd October, 2015 at 1200 hours local time. Expressions of interest should be clearly marked with the following statements “Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for Mwache Dam Water Treatment Plant Feasibility Study” and must be delivered in written form to the address below.
