ITEN TAMBACH WATER AND SEWERAGE

INVITATION TO TENDER

Supply and pipe laying of 3362M pipeline of assorted sizes and Construction of 1 No. Water Kiosk at Iten Town.

Iten Tambach Water and Sewerage Company has received funds from the Water Service Trust Fund under the Urban Project Concept (UPC) and intends to use part of the funds to undertake the following project. The Company hereby invites bids from eligible firms to undertake the following;

Pre – Tender Site Visit: 28th Jan, 2014 at 10.00AM at the Company’s Office-lten Treatment works-ITEN.
Non refundable Tender Document payments: Kshs. 1,000

Supply and delivery of 1/2″ and 3/4″ 250No.cold water consumer meters.
Bidder to provide a sample.

Requirements:

1.   Must be a registered Contractor with the National Construction Authority (NCA 7 and above) in waterworks

2.   Bid security of 2% of the tender sum from a reputable financial institution or inform of a banker’s cheque.

3.   Provide Certified audited accounts for the lat 3 years.

4.   Certified copies of tax compliance Certificate, VAT and PIN certificates.

5.   Proof of Legal existence (Copy of certificates of incorporation/Registration)

6.   Valid Business permit issued by County Government.

7.   Certificate of Pre-Tender site Visit signed by authorized officer

8.   Submit a fully filled confidential Business Questionnaire.

9.   Proof of works of similar Magnitude undertaken in the last 5 years

10.Provide a copy of receipt as a proof for tender purchase

NOTE: Requirement 1,7 and 9 are not applicable for tender no. ITWASCO/UPC 6/02/2013-14 but interested bidders MUST provide sample any way.

Tender documents with detailed specification can be obtained upon payment of the above charges from the Iten Tambach water and Sewerage Company limited cash Office during normal working hours.

Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelope bearing no indication of the supplier but clearly marked with “Tender No…………….. For…………………………… ” Should be addressed to

The sealed tender document should be sent through the above address or lodged in the tender box marked “UPC PROJECTS” at the company’s office located at Iten Treatment Works, Behind Posta office, near Iten Primary School on or before 3rd Feb 2014 not later than 12.00 noon. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at the Company’s Board room in the presence of interested tenderers or their representatives who chose to attend.
