Kenya Airways confirms that one of its aircraft was involved in an unfortunate incident last evening. The aircraft, a B-737-800 was expected to operate flight KQ764 to Johannesburg.

The incident involving an airport tow truck happened during push back of the aircraft from the bay damaging part of its fuselage and engine.

Kenya Airways  confirmed that there were no injuries. Flight KQ 764 was later cancelled to allow for further investigations and all guests were accommodated on other flights.

Kenya Airways says it remains committed to the safety of its guests and employees and to the integrity of its operations as it aims to bring the World to Africa and Africa to the World.
