REPAIRS AND UPGRADING OF PELELEZA MOORING JETTY

Kenya Ferry Services Limited (KFS) is a state corporation under the Ministry of Transport with the core mandate of managing ferry services in Kenya and associated link in East Africa.  The company invites sealed bids form capable and duly eligible contractors for the above named works.  The contractor should have capability to carry out works for the following complexity: –
 
•Marine pilling
•Underwater structure formwork erection and tenders installation
•Under water welding and cutting
•In-situ concrete
•Precast concrete
 
Minimum mandatory requirements:
 
Bidders hall submit the following minimum requirements:
 
•Ministry of Roads /public works Registration category “c” or above
•Statutory registration documents  e.g PIN number, VAT and Certificate of Incorporation / Registration
•Dully filled Confidential Business Questionnaire and Declaration form
•Tender security against the tender (To be submitted in the financial bid envelope “B”)
•Documents presented  in the required format
 
Bidders are advised that there will be a mandatory pre-tender site visit n the Tuesday 28th August 2012 at 10. 00am at the bidders cost.  Bidders who buy tender documents after this date may contact the office of Procurement & Supplies Manager to arrange for another sit visit.   Kenya Ferry Services shall confirm through physical inspection, all plant which are intended to be mobilized for the tasks.
 
The tender document with detailed information may be obtained for the office of the Procurement and Supplies manager located at the ferry Services Limited. Headquarters Likoni Mainland South Gaza Road, during normal  working hours upon payment of a non refundable fee of KSHS. 5, 000 in from of cash or Bankers cheque payable at the KFS cash office.
 
Completed tender documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender number and submitted in the manner prescribed in the tender document, clearly indicated.

Shall be deposited in the tender box located at the reception of the KFS headquarters at Peleza Likoni mainland south so as to be received on or before 1000 hours on Tuesday 11th September 2012.  Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at the Kenya Ferry Services Limited meeting room.  Tenderers or their representatives  who may wish to attend are invited.
