Digitization Of Class A, B And C Road Corridors

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007 with the responsibility for Management, Development, Rehabilitation and Maintenance of National Trunk Roads.

The Authority intends to map and document its road reserves and corridors on some 14,000km of Class A, B & C roads. The objective of the exercise is to develop a GIS Database of all Class A, B & C road corridors. This will be achieved by primarily digitizing cadastral maps abutting these roads: scan, geo-reference, vectorize the cadastral maps, integrate the digital plans with existing design plans, “As Built Drawings” and various land acquisition plans that have been completed for this category of roads over time.

The Authority invites Expressions of Interest (EOls) from experienced Consulting Survey and Mapping firms with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience, and with relevant experience in similar assignments, to prequ’alify for the work.

The assignments shall be packaged into (10) contracts covering Class A, B & C roads arranged in logical sub-networks, and is expected to be completed within a period of six (6) months from the date of commencement.

ELIGIBILITY

Interested firms/consultants must provide the following:-

1)       Certified certificate of Incorporation/Registration.

2)       Certified Tax Compliance Certificate

3)       Profile of the firm indicating experience in similar assignments.

4)       CVs of the key professionals/experts indicating education background and experience in successful execution of similar assignments.

5)       Evidence of resources capability.

Expressions of interest in sealed envelopes clearly marked”DIGITIZATION OF CLASS A, B & C ROAD CORRIDORS – TENDER NO. KeNHA/773/2013″ must be delivered to the Tender Box at the Kenya National Highways Authority Offices, Mezzanine Floor, Blue Shield Towers, Hospital Road, Upper Hill so as to be received by Tuesday,17th December, 2013 at 12.00 noon or be addressed to:
