INVITATION TO TENDER
PERFORMANCE – BASED ROAD MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR THE NAIROBI-THIKA (A2) HIGHWAY
TENDER NO. KeNHA/765/2013
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for the management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of national roads.
The Authority invites bids from eligible construction companies registered with the National Construction Authority in class NCA 1 for the Performance – Based Maintenance for the Nairobi – Thika (A2) Highway to be funded through Road Maintenance Levy Fund.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of works shall be as described in the tender document.
QUALIFICATION FOR TENDERING
Mandatory Requirements
The following must be submitted together with bid:
1. Certified copy of Certificate of incorporation.
2. Certified copy of Registration Certificate with the National Construction Authority in class NCA 1.
3. Certified copy of Current Tax Compliance Certificate.
4. The other requirements are included in the Bid Document.
Other Requirements
As specified in the tender documents covering the following:-
1. Equipment holding
2. Professional and Technical Personnel
3. Current work load
4. Litigation history
> Procurement shall be based on the post qualification method and the above details will be submitted with the priced bid
> A mandatory pre-tender site visit date will be held on 15th November, 2013 at 10.00am starting at the Uhuru Highway / Museum Hill Overpass on A104 Rd.
Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect tender documents from the Supply Chain and Support Services Office, Kenya National Highways Authority Headquarters, Blue Shield Towers, during normal working hours.
A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested tenderers upon payment of a non- refundable fee of KShs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only) in form of a banker’s cheque only payable to Kenya National Highways Authority.

Or deposited in the Tender Box on the mezzanine Floor, Blue Shield Towers, Hospital Road, Upper Hill so as to be received at 10.00am on 29th November, 2013.
Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter at the Board Room, 3rd Floor, Blue Shield Towers, Hospital Road, Upper Hill, in the presence of Tenderers/ Representatives who wish to attend.
