The Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) has partnered with the Engineers Board of Kenya(EBK) to host the 3rd African Engineering Conference.
Doubling up as the annual IEK conference (25th IEK International Engineers’ Conference) the week long 3rd African Engineering conference will run co-current with the 5th African Engineering week that kicks off on Monday the 17th of September at the Pride INN Paradise Hotel in Mombasa.
Themed ‘Harnessing the blue economy for accelerated economic growth: The role of engineer’, the conference is being organised jointly by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya(IEK), Engineers Board of Kenya(EBK), United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO), Federation of African Engineering Organization(FAEO) and the World Federation of Engineering Organization(WFEO).
Speaking exclusively to the Kenya Engineer, IEK President Eng. Collins Juma confirmed that “..all plans are in place to host the more than 1,500 delegates from all over the continent that have registered to attend this conference”.
The opening address for the conference will be delivered by Mr. James Macharia, the cabinet secretary for the ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Urban Development.
