TENDER NOTICE

1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya in partnership with UNICEF under the (UNICEF wash programmes is supporting the provisions of Safe water to various communities in Programme districts through Lake Victoria Water Services Board (LVSWSB).
 
2. The Lake Victoria South Water SERVICES Board (LVSWSB0 (herein called “The Client) now invites interested qualified contractors and suppliers to submit bids for
 
i) Drilling casing and testing of 17 No Boreholes in various districts
ii) Hawinga pipeline extension in Siaya district
iii) Bimos pipeline extension in Siaya District
iv) Inungo Ramunde pipeline extension in Siaya district
v) Yesise UD pipeline extension in Siaya District
vi) North Alego Pipeline extension in Siaya District
vii) Kaedel pipeline extension in Rachuonyo North District
viii) Gunga Pipeline extension in Rachuonyo North District
 
 
3. Eligible firms must meet the following minimum criteria
i) Registration with Ministry of water and irrigation and / or public works under category D and above
ii) Experience in at least 3 similar assignment in the past 3 years
iii) Average annual financial turnover of at least Kshs. 2, 000, 000 for the last three fiscal years
iv) Legal existence of the firm and the location of head office of the firm
v) Valid Tax Compliance certificate from KRA
 
Prospective bidders with ongoing projects which are behind schedule without approved extension will not be considered.
 
The bids one original and two copies of each shall be submitted in envelopes clearly marked:

i) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/16/12-13    –    Drilling , casing and testing of 17 No. Boreholes in
                                                          Various districts
ii) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/17/12-13    –    construction of Hawinga pipeline extension in
                                                          Siaya District
iii) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/18/12-13    –   construction of Bimos pipeline extension in Siaya
                                                          District
iv) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/19/12-13    –   Construction of Inungo Ramunde pipeline
                                                          Tension in Siaya
v) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/20/12-13    –   construction of Yesise UD pipeline extension in
                                                          Siaya
vi) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/21/12-13    –  construction of North Alego pipeline extension in
                                                          Siaya
vii) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/22/12-13    –  Kadel pipeline extension in Rachuonyo North
                                                          District
viii) Tender No. LVSWSB/T/23/12-13    –  construction of Gunga Pipeline extension in
                                                          Rachuonyo North District
And deposited in Tender Box situated within the Reception area of first floor at Lake Victoria South Water Services Board on or before 12. 00 noon East Africa time on 5th November 2012 at the address below:

4. Submitted bids will be opened immediately thereafter the closing time in the presence of bidders who may wish to attend.
 
5. Interested bidders may collect the bid documents form the Procurement office, Lake Victoria South Water Services Board between 8. 00 am and 5.00 pm weekdays at the address indicated above upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kenya shillings Two thousand (Kshs. 2, 000) only by bankers cheque addressed to “Lake Victoria South Water Services Board”.
 
6. Tenders shall be valid for a period of 90 days after tender opening and must be accompanied by tender security equivalent to Kenya shillings Three hundred thousand (Kshs. 300, 000) for Tender No. LVSWB/T/16/12-13 and Kenya shillings Forty thousand (Kshs. 40, 000) for each of any other tender in the form of cash, bankers cheque, insurance guarantee or Bid bond form reputable bank.
 
7. Lake Victoria South Water Services Board is not bound to accept the lowest or any tenders it receives.
