TENDER NOTICE

Tenders are invited for construction to completion of storeyed classroom / computer laboratory block and residential block.

    Bidders MUST be registered with the National Construction Authority(proof of registration required)
    Only bidders meeting the criteria below, will be considered (provide relevant documentary evidence).

i.     Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last (3) three years (attach at least one completion certificate).

ii.    A bid bond of Kshs. 1 Million in form of bank guarantee from reputable bank or approved insurance firm and must remain valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening.

iii.    Proof of Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified type of works.

iv.   Proof of sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line.

Litigation history of the company (both court and arbitration cases).

Provide copy certified Valid tax compliance-certificate .

Provide Copy of certified company registration, PIN, VAT certificates and Valid business permit.

Pre-tender site visit is mandatory during normal working hours (preferably one week before the closing date)

    Price from the opening date of the tender.
    Bidders May obtain tender documents from Machakos Vocational Rehabilitation Centre upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 in cash or bankers cheque payable to Principal Secretary, Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services. Payment should be made to Machakos District Treasury before 4.00p.m. on normal working days.
    Tenders in plain sealed envelope marked and bearing no indication of the tender should be addressed to:

and placed in a tender box at the County Commissioner’s office Machakos or sent by post so as to reach the above not later than 2nd January, 2014 at 11,00am.

Submitted bids will be opened publicly at the County Commissioner’s Boardroom soon after closing date and time in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives, who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.

•    The government reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind to accept the lowest or any tender.
