DRILLING AND EQUIPPING OF BOREHOLE AT KABAA AND NAMELOK IRRIGATION SCHEMES

This Specific Procurement Notice follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the Development Business Issues No 728 of 15th June 2008.

The Government of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Bank towards the cost of Small-scale Horticulture Development Project and intends to apply part of thefunds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Drilling and Equipping of Boreholes at Kabaa and Namelok Irrigation Schemes.

The Works consist of drilling and equipping of a borehole and installation of a high level pressed steel water tank and booster pumps.

The Ministry of Agriculture, through Small-scale Horticulture Development Project (SH DP), invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Drilling and Equipping of Borehole as below: –

Bidding documents (and additional copies) may be collected at Hill Plaza, 9th Floor Room 914 upon payment of a non refundable fee of KES 3,000 per tender in cash or Bankers Cheque payable to the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries at the Cash Office situated at lower floor, Kilimo House Cathedral Road. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the same address.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days after Bid opening and must be accompanied by Bid guarantee of KES 200,000.00 from a reputable Bank which must be valid for 28 days beyond bid validity period.

Bids should be clearly marked ‘Drilling and Equipping of Borehole at ……….. Irrigation Scheme’ and

deposited at State Department of Agriculture Tender Box, situated at the Ground Floor, Kilimo House, Cathedral Road or posted to
