TENDER NOTICE

Murang’a University College is inviting eligible contractors to bid for the Construction of the following works
TENDER NUMBER: MRUC/T/02/2013-2014
TENDER NAME: PROPOSED HOSTEL BLOCK FOR MURANG’A UNIVERSITY COLLEGE(PHASE 1)

The contractors should be registered with the Ministry of Public Works Category D and above or NCA Category 4 and above.

Tender documents can be purchased during the normal working hours from the office of the Registrar at Murang’a University College; First Floor-Administration Block at non-refundable fee of KShs. 5,000, payable to Murang’a University College A/C No. 1107198356 – KCB – Murang’a Branch or Bankers Cheque payable to Principal, Murang’a University College

To be considered for the works a tenderer must attach copies of;

1.      Valid tax compliance certificate

2.      Current Ministry of Public Works registration certificate (Category D and above) or NCA Category 4 and above.

3.      Company registration/incorporation certificate

4.      A bid bond of Ksh. 2,000,000.00 in form of a Bank Guarantee or Insurance Company approved by PPOA valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening

5.      Proof of adequate Financial capability

6.      Proof of comparable works done in the last Five years

7.      Proof of adequate key personnel

8.      Proof of adequate equipment

9.      Litigation history

Further note the following tenderers shall be treated as non-responsive; 1.     A tenderer with any project(s) behind schedule

2      A tenderer whose tender sum is not within plus or minus 10% of the official estimates

3.     A tenderer who has not properly and correctly filled the Form of Tender and the Confidential Business Questionnaire

Tender documents in plain sealed envelopes marked with the Tender Number and Name above should be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the Administration Block; Ground Floor Reception or sent to:

The Principal,

Murang’a University College,

P.O Box 75-10200, Murang’a.

So as to be received on or before 12th September,2013 at 10:00 am. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in presence of contractors/representative who chose to attend at The Boardroom situated at Murang’a University College,Ground Floor.

Late bids will be returned unopened and prices quoted must remain valid for 90 days from the date of tender opening.

The client reserves the right to reject any tender in part or in whole and is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender submitted.

TENDER ADDENDUM

Pursuant to the following tender as advertised on 15th August 2013
TENDER NUMBER: MRUC/T/01/2013-2014   
TENDER NAME: PROPOSED TUITION BLOCK FOR MURANG’A UNIVERSITY COLLEGE(PHASE 1)
Bidders are hereby notified that the tender returning date has been extended by one week from 30th August 2013 at 10.00 am to 5th September 2013 at 10.00 am. All other details remain the same.
