The Africa Renewable Energy Leaders Summit (ARELS) kicked off today April 4 in Nairobi at the Intercontinental hotel. The event will focus on enhancing the renewable energy market and expanding opportunities locally and abroad.
The summit has attracted over 200 policy makers, governmental organisations, investors and technology leaders. The global list of guests in attendance will be present in order to enhance the renewable energy market and expand opportunities locally and abroad.
Under the patronage of Hon. Charles Keter, MGH, Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in Kenya, the two-day event will offer insightful and edifying keynote discussions covering a range of subjects spanning from Alternative Renewable Technologies to Aligning policy, investment and infrastructure development to drive sustainable energy outcomes.
Bringing together some of the best local and international industry leaders under one roof, speakers include Cornelius Matthes, CEO of Pawame, Eng. Mr Lebbi Changullah Secretary General Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP) in Ethiopia, and H. E. Dr Rashid Al Leem Chairman, Electricity & Water Authority in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The Summit will unveil the immense investment opportunities in this sector, further enhancing the development of Kenya and the surrounding region,” said Mrs Josine Heijmans, Event Director.
Moreover, ARELS will hold an additional avenue to facilitate networking opportunities among its guests. A safari networking event after the conference will take place showcasing the diverse environment only found in Kenya.
