The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) was yesterday joined by the Permanent Secretary, Eng. Samuel Kamau, his PS Eng.Mosonic plus other heads in respective government authorities in celebrating the institution’s acquirement of the ISO certification.

KeNHA becomes the first road authority to acquire the international certification in the country. Speaking during the event that was held at Hilton Hotel here in Nairobi, Eng.Mosonick pointed that the acquiring of the ISO meant that KeNHA had to now work harder to maintain high standards. He challenged them on service providence in regards to efficiency, timeliness-something the sector has been accused of not delivering.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary expressed optimism in the efforts being made in the transport sector especially in curbing road carnage.

The event culminated with the unveiling of the ISO certificate as handed over by Kenya Bureau of Standards official and a cake cut to mark the event.
