TENDER NOTICE

1. The Rural Electrification Authority invites sealed bids for the works as follows:

Description;Supply, installation and commissioning of enclosed 300KVA and 500kva Diesel generations Plus associated distribution board at Daadab Town in Garisa County

Description;supply, installation and commissioning of enclosed 150KVA and 300KVA Diesel generators plus associated distribution Board at Maikona Town in Marsabit county   
Tender closing Opening Dates; 1ST November 2012 at 10. 00 am

Tender No.;REA/2012-2013/OT/043   
Description;supply, installation and commissioning of enclosed 300KVA and 500KVA diesel generators plus associated distribution Board at Maikona Town in Marsabit County

Description;design and construction of a containerized diesel Power supply station at Lokiriama Town in Turkana County (Civil and Mechanical Works)

Description;Design and construction of containerized diesels power supply station at Maikona Tow in Marsabit County (Civil and Mechanical works)

2. Bidders for Tenders Nos. REA/2012-2013/OT/044 and REA /2012 -2013 /OT/045 must be registered with the Ministry of Public Works class “C” and above.
 
3. Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information form an inspect the tender documents at the office at the Manager, Procurement & Supplies on the 6th floor, Chancery Building, Valley Road Nairobi, Kenya on normal working days between 9:00 am – 12:30pm and 2:00pm – 3:00pm. Documents are also available in the REA Website www.rea.co.ke/downlaods
 
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of nonrefundable fees of Kshs. 5, 000. 00. The method of payment will be cash paid through the REA Bank Account: Kenya Commercial Bank, Milimani Branch, and Account No. 110320 1557. The payment slip will then be submitted to eh cash office, 6th floor, the chancery for issuance of an official receipt.
 
5. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with Tender name and Reference Number and be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the rural Electrification Authority offices and be addressed to:

So as to be received on or before the dates indicated and time indicated above.
 
6. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend at the venue as specified in the instructions to Tenders.
 
7. Rural Electrification Authority reserves the right to accept or reject all tenders either in whole or in part and is bound to give reasons thereof.
