(IN SUPPORT OF VISION 2030 FLAGSHIP PROJECTS)

TENDER NO.: MOEP/ONT /04/2014-2015

TENDER NAME: SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF SOLAR PV POWER SYSTEMS TO 148 NO. SCHOOLS, HEALTH FACILITIES, POLICE STATIONS, DISTRICT AND DIVISIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN ASAL DISTRICTS

The MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND PETROLEUM (MOEP) invites sealed tenders For Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Power Systems to 148 No. Schools, Health Facilities, Police Stations District and Divisional Headquarters in ASAL Districts, whose specifications are detailed in the Tender Documents.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain a complete set of the Tender Documents from the Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management Services, MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND PETROLEUM Room 24-16 on the 24th floor, Nyayo House upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs. 1,000 (Kenya shillings one thousand) at the Cash Office located on the 21st Floor of Nyayo house.

Please note that:-

The Tender consists of 9 lots and the tenderers may bid for any number of lots.

Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes, must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for at least Ninety (90) days from the closing date of the tender.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form and amount specified in the Tender Documents. The bid security must be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of tender opening.

Bidders must submit a proposed Works Programme, failure to which the tender will be non-responsive. Please note that the Contract period will be 20 weeks.

Bidders MUST comply with Section A (Instructions to Tenderers) of the Tender Documents.

Completed tender documents should be submitted in plain sealed envelopes marked Tender Name: Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Solar Power Systems to 148 No. Schools, Health Facilities, Police Stations District and Divisional Headquarters in ASAL Districts and Tender Number: MOEP/ONT/04/2014-2015 and addressed to:

and be deposited in the Tender Box situated on 24th Floor, Nyayo House so as to reach on or before 31st October, 2014 at 10.00 a.m. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the Main Conference Room on 23rd Floor, Northern Wing, Nyayo House in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

7. The Government of Kenya reserves the right to accept or reject in part or in whole any tender without giving reasons.
