TENDER NOTICE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

TENDER NO: WCG/T/224/204-2015

BACKGROUND

Wajir County Government seeks consultancy services to carry out consultancy services for supervision and coordination of construction of tarmac roads and drainage works in wajir town.

SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The scope of work will involve but not limited to the following

Assist the County Resident Engineer in the day to day implementation of the Wajir Town Roads programme;

Assist the County Resident Engineer in supervising the contracts and staff in this programme;

Advise on contract variations and extensions of time;

Assist in monitoring progress of works;

Assist in supervising of works;

Participate in progress review meetings;

Share expertise with other members of the Wajir Town Roads Programme Supervision Team;

Assist in reviewing for compliance with contract requirements, all performance bonds, insurance certificates or policies and guarantees submitted by contractors for execution of the project;

Assist in reviewing of the contractor’s proposed work plan and site organization;

Assist in checking of setting out of alignments and elevations and maintain the corresponding documentation etc.

The main output will be implementation and report writing which shall be a format acceptable to Wajir County Roads department.

It is expected that the assignment will be completed within One (1) year.

Wajir County Government now invites eligible firm or individual consultant for the expression of interest in providing the services. The interested firms/individuals must provide information to demosntrate that they are qualified to perform the required services through description of similar assignments undertaken in the last 3 years and brief description of carrying out the assignment. The firms or individual consultants must also submint the following documents together with their Bid.

Certificate of registration

PIN Certificate

Regsitration with ERB

Curriculum vitae for the technical work.

Expression of interest clearly marked with the Tender Number and description on the outer envelope should be delivered to the address below by 2nd of December 2014 by 10.00 AM.

Please provide two separate proposals thus Technical and financial RFPs in two different envelopes.
