TENDER NOTICE

The University of Nairobi invites interested and qualified bidders for tenders;

Tender Number.:  UON/T/58/2016-2017

Title of Tender.:  Tender for Supply and Installation of Prefabricated Office Block atCollege of Biological & Physical Sciences (CBPS)

Bid Bond (KSH.).:  10000

Mandatory Pre – bid Meetings.: Thursday 16th February 2017 at 10.00am at Maintenance office (CBPS)

Closing Date.:  Thursday February 23,2017 at 10.30am

The tender documents with detailed information may be obtained from the Procurement Manager University of Nairobi, Main Campus, Administration Block I” Floor Room A104, during normal working hours (Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5: 00pm) upon payment of a non-refundable cash fee deposit of Kshs 1,000.00 at Barclays Bank Ac. No. 094-8245531 Queensway House Branch and thereafter obtaining an official receipt from Gandhi Wing Room G4. OR download from Websites: supplier.treasury.go.ke/site/, procurement.uonbi.ac.ke, www.ppoa.go.ke free of charge.

Bidders who download the tender document shall email their names, contact details and tender number to manager-procurement@uonbi.ac.ke Prices quoted must be net, inclusive of all taxes and remain valid for 120 days from the closing date of the tender.

Tenders should be accompanied by bid bonds as stated above in the form of bank guarantee Insurance Company guarantee approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, a letter of credit or guarantee by a deposit taking Microfinance Institution, Sacco Society,Youth Enterprise Development Fund or Women Enterprise Fund which must be attached to the tender document.

The completed tender documents must be submitted in plain sealed envelope marked with tender number and description to: PROCUREMENT MANAGER, UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI, P.O. BOX 30197 – 00100 GPO NAIROBI, KENYA.

The tender documents should be placed inside the tender box at the reception area, Ad ministration Block, Main Campus on or before the closing date. Opening will be done on the same day thereafter at the Council Committee Room in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.

The University of Nairobi reserves the right to accept or reject a tender in whole or in part. Canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
